Window Pain reflects on identity, perception, and the illusion of belonging. A hand-painted grid divides the surface into nine panes, framed like a window—suggesting a boundary between interior and exterior, self and world.
Set against a pristine white, candy-coated ground, bursts of splattered color move across and beyond the panes, disrupting their structure. What begins as a contained view transforms into something expansive, layered, and alive—where color, gesture, and surface override the rigidity of the grid.
The work draws from a personal history of looking outward—of feeling separate, of imagining belonging as something external. Yet the composition ultimately shifts inward, revealing that expression, freedom, and identity are not found beyond the frame, but created from within it.
The splatter extends across the grid itself, dissolving the idea of separation. The “window” no longer functions as a barrier, but as a surface—one that holds, rather than restricts, the energy of what it contains.
Balancing structure with release, the piece becomes a meditation on self-definition: that belonging is not something to be found, but something to be claimed.
Hand-painted, handcrafted, and one-of-a-kind, this work is created using professional, archival-quality materials and processes, ensuring lasting color, clarity, and structural integrity over time.
Designed for collectors drawn to vibrant, conversation-starting contemporary art and unapologetic color, each piece is signed, dated, and uniquely numbered to document its originality and place within the artist’s evolving body of work.
