Don’t Zip It reimagines the universally familiar smiley face through unexpected materials, dimensional form, and playful contradiction. Set against a luminous white, candy-coated panel, two translucent resin-cast eyes glow in vibrant pink and yellow while a sparkling silver zipper curves upward to form an unmistakable smile.

The sculptural eyes catch and transmit light, creating shifting layers of color and depth as the viewer moves around the work. Below them, the zipper transforms an everyday functional object into both line and expression—its partially opened end introducing a subtle tension between being zipped shut and speaking freely.
